Dear Donor,

I am a 67-year-old widow, a Certified Nursing Assistant, but more important a person who cares for ALL people. Seven years ago, I began collecting clothes, small appliances, food and information to help the people of Baltimore. God's plan was to assist people in any manner I could to strive to better their lives. I myself am a delivered  drug user with 14 no 15 years free from substance abuse, surviving by the grace of God, 18 years of drug abuse.. I  suffered 14 years of spousal abuse, as well as 17 years of parental abuse from both parents. I had pretty much gave up on life.

I shared all that to say this. I never forgot the times I suffered, as because of it, I am now a much stronger, more focused and more compassionate person for the people I share this wonderful city with. Though I have been clean for 15 years, for the past seven years, every two months I along with a hand full of God sent help go throughout this city in various poor area's distributing the items we collect from people, family and friends. I distribute information I collect: information on how they can have, and live better, how they can make better choices for their children, as well as themselves. We do this totally out of pocket, in spite of personal struggles we are determined to strive to do what we can to help to bring change and inspire people to learn to respect one another, be there for one another, and most important love one another in these tough economic times.

To do this I need your assistance please. We are in need whatever help you can offer. The children see so much violence as a daily way of life. A lot of area's we go in are so infested with drugs and prostitution, it would make break your heart. I do realize we are only a small team of people, but I do not believe in giving up on people, as God did not give up on me. and with your help I believe we can make a strong difference in the lives of so many people.  I do feel with determination, a heart of compassion, determination with persistence, these areas can be helped, especially with the right resources in place.

We with VIC, would greatly appreciate any assistance you can lend us for the downtrodden area. God bless you and yours.

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
